About Me
Growing up with 6 sisters, my mom and dad in Chicago is the foundation for all that follows. My mom was such a wonderful baker. I would ask her if I could help her. She would always say “scrape the sides of the bowl” or “let the bread cool down a bit.” Smelling her wonderful coffee cakes, breads and cookies became the wonderful scent engraved in my memory.
My love of baking continued on through my early career. I sold high quality baked goods by Vie de France Bakery Corporation to Chicago restaurants. Afterwards, I continued in the food service industry selling packaging. This is where I met my husband and later moved from Chicago to the Memphis area. In Memphis, I took a hiatus from my career to raise our three sons. I ended up doing a stint in Memphis as a food broker selling various food products. Two of the lines we carried were baked goods. Nothing compared to my mom’s baked goods, however.
I was sitting at my son’s baseball game having a conversation with two women about how I love to bake. I began to bring samples to share with the crowd, and that’s where the ball started rolling locally….and now here I am, a lot older but still loving to bake. I now offer scratch baked goods locally as a home baker. If you stop by, you may experience the same scent of fresh baked cookies or cakes I have experienced my whole life. Thanks for reading and supporting a local baker. Hope to see you soon!
